Some days I want to be invisible. Other days, I want to be unforgettable. Can we talk about that?

Some days I want to be invisible. Other days, I want to be unforgettable. Can we talk about that?

I received the photo she texted me.
There she was—beautiful in a bright yellow dress, smiling with her sunnies on.

This is the same woman who once said to me:
“I love your clothes, but I don’t want to stand out. I usually wear black… I’m not looking for attention.”

And yet, there she was. Radiant. Alive. Seen.

The truth is—we all have both kinds of days.

There are days we run out the door with no makeup, hair in a ponytail or clip, hoping no one notices us at all.
Days we don’t feel like ourselves, and aging makes that disconnect feel even louder.

But here’s something I’ve learned:
When I don’t feel like being seen, I make it my mission to see someone else.

Compliment a stranger.
Make eye contact.
Ask the second question.

It’s the quickest way back to connection—and it always lifts something in me, too.

And when the day does call for being unforgettable…

Don’t shrink it down.
Put on the bold dress.
Call the friend. Send the text.
Come sip, shop, and laugh with us.

You don’t need a reason to feel radiant.

You already are. 💛
